Claremont McKenna College Mock Trial
What is Mock Trial?
Mock Trial is a combination of speech, debate, and acting. Students assume the roles of witnesses and attorneys to simulate a trial. Each year the American Mock Trial Association prepares a fictional case with witness statements, case law, and exhibits. Teams create arguments for both sides of the case compete by delivering their presentations in courtroom settings.
We compete in three or four Fall tournaments and host the first round of AMTA Regionals in the spring. We consistently advance to the Opening Round Championship Series, the National Semi-Finals round. Many of our competitors have won individual awards, making us one of the West Coast's top programs.

Team Culture
We put a strong emphasis on building a kind, caring community that supports all its members. Being friends as well as teammates makes us a stronger team and enhance all of our competitive experiences.
We emphasize our values and host regular team bonding events. These events include our weekend retreat as well as more casual trips to the beach, study sessions, and game nights. Our hope is that every team member feels liked a valued part of our CMCMT family.
